The information age has created clouded minds. Decisions seem harder, not easier. Truth seems more distant as counter-stories, counter-facts, and counter truths are thrown at us. This has fatigued a generation. But this is not a new challenge for the church. These very issues were addressed in 1 John. In that writing, we hear a sermon that teaches us how truth, love, and life are all taken up in the light of the world: Jesus Christ.
